Waffles

Waffles with banana slices

Added some raspberry sauce

Cut out view of chocolate and regular waffles stack

What I think:
I was bored and didn't know what I want to eat for breakfast. So I ended up clearning my old waffle maker and made some waffles! Since I was using whatever is left at my sister's fridge, I ended up using soy milk, and it gave out an unusual taste! The recipe I used wasn't too sweet, perhaps a little bit more sugar would be nice. Oh, I also tried adding some chocolate powder on the last waffle just for the fun of it :)

Raspberry Cheesecake Brownie

Cutout View

What I think:
The combination of taste between chocolate brownie, cheesecake, and raspberry makes a delicious cake. Unfortunately the layers are still somewhat uneven, I need to learn how to better place the batter on the pan. As you can see, we had some fun in decorating the cake, now I don't feel like actually cutting the cake... Oh, another note, take it out from the fridge 10-15 minutes before serving so that the brownie layer will soften a bit.

Banana Chocolate Cupcake

What I think:
So, the recipe says banana chocolate cupcake, but the chocolate is only in the frosting. Since I don't like buttercream frosting, I used cream cheese frosting with some cocoa powder. Turned out that you can barely taste the chocolate. In the end, this is really a moist and chewy banana cupcake, unlike the thicker/denser bread I made earlier. Oh, yeah, presentation wasn't very good on this one...

Banana Bread

What I think:
Very rich banana flavour, however a bit thick and dense. Wish it was a little bit more moist.

Devil's Food Cupcake with Vanilla Cream Filling

w/chocolate cream cheese frosting

w/cream cheese frosting and white/dark chocolate chips

What I think:
Best chocolate cupcake I made so far. The combination of melted chocolate and chocolate powder makes this into one delicious cupcake. The sweet cream filling gives a nice contrast to the dark, moist chocolate cake. Should try it with more variety of fillings. ie Kahlua, Bailey's, Grand Marnier (I tend to use Jamaican dark rum)

Coffee Cake

What I think:
Quite a nice coffee taste, rich and dense, but I would used a stronger coffee next time.

Mexican Wedding Cake

What I think:
A fairly simple recipe, nutty and not too sweet. Perfect with a cup of tea.

Raspberry Chocolate Gateaux

What I think:
Wasn't really a success :( The chocolate cake bottom was too flat, and the raspberry mousse didn't work out well. I think I'll stick to mousse with gelatin, thank you very much.
